When it comes to ultimate underdog stories, Average Joe’s takes the crown. I mean, who doesn’t root for a misfit group of amateur dodgeball players taking on the corporate-backed Purple Cobras? Their journey from zero to hero perfectly embodies the “if you can dodge a wrench, you can dodge a ball” philosophy that’s both hilarious and weirdly inspiring.
The Washington Sentinels (The Replacements)
There’s something incredibly appealing about this ragtag group of replacement players who step in during a pro football strike. I particularly love how they represent second chances and redemption. From Shane Falco’s comeback story to the former sumo wrestler turned lineman, each character brings something unique to this fictional NFL team.
